Dr. Kimberlin is one of the first Asian-American Peace Corps volunteers. She was stationed in the Hamisien and Seraye regions of Ethiopia (now part of Eritrea since 1993). From 1962 to 1964 she taught science, history, and music at St. George Middle School in Mendefera and English and music at Haile Sellassie High School in Asmara.
